Kodakcoin Cryptocurrency Launched
Kodak has launched its own cryptocurrency called KodakCoin. The company is dealing with WENN digital company, which is specialized in blockchain development and monetization systems.
The new cryptocurrency will work as tokens inside the new blockchain, which will be powered by the KodakOne rights management platform.
A digital ledger will be designed for photographers, who will be able to utilize for registering all their work.
The virtual currency KodakCoin will be created as an exchange means and will allow users to pay with those tokens for their images.
Both the KodakOne and the KodakCoin will allow for greater control and image rights management for photographers and agencies, as the press release reported this week.
CEO of Jeff Clarke said, “For many in the tech industry, blockchain and cryptocurrency are hot buzzwords, but for photographers who’ve long struggled to assert control over their work and how it’s used, these buzzwords are the keys to solving what felt like an unsolvable problem.”
Kodakcoin was increased at the time of announcing and currently costs $3,68.
There are existing a few companies, which have already created their own digital currencies.
