American TON Investors Will not Get 110% Refund Next Year
Telegram has reported TON investors from the cannot remain in the TON for one more year.
As Telegram has stated in its sent letter to the TON investors, all the TON investors from the US can only get a quick 72% repayment in place of a 110% repayment in April of the next year, RBC writes.
This statement follows its provided option to refund TON investors in the end of the last month. Telegram has offered two potential alternatives. One of them was a 72% refund, & the next one was 110% refund within 12 months.
The messaging app had to cancel the 2nd alternative for TON investors from the US as a consequence of regulatory authorities’ unclear position in the US.
Telegram has been striving to solve the regulatory problems with the US SEC in order to release TON network & Gram, which is its native token, since the autumn of the last year.
Nevertheless, in spite of the regulatory issues in the US, there is yet the possibility for TON network to be released by independent verifiers.
