NOW THE ETHEREUM NETWORK HAS MORE THAN 50 MILLION ADDRESSES
On Saturday, the number of unique addresses in the Ethereum network exceeded 50 million, according to the portal Etherscan.io.
The largest increase in the number of unique Ethereum addresses in one day was recorded on January 4th this year-then there was registered 352 888 addresses.
Although the total number of addresses on the Ethereum network is growing, the number of active addresses continues to decline. The portal Coinmetrics specifies the active address as a “unique sender or receiver address involved in the transmission of transactions in a given day.”
The number of active Ethereum addresses fell 68% from the peak – 719 093 on January 16th to 232 085 on December 15th. Active addresses make up only 0.46% of all addresses in the Ethereum network.
In September, Ethereum users were able to link their addresses to the domain .xyz.
