A disagreement between a father and his son regarding cryptocurrency resulted in a near-death experience as well as some jail time. During the price fall, the father pushed for holding whereas the son intended to withdraw the digital assets. One day, the son assisted the father in shifting some furniture, and following his return home after taking dinner at a restaurant, the son executed the plan. With apparently good intentions, the father was offered some tea on the behalf of Ghershony to boost up his energy. The offer was accepted by the dad without recognizing that heavy benzodiazepine dozes were mixed in it to send him to unconsciousness.
Following the deed, the phone of the father was taken by the son to transact an amount of up to $400,000 in the account thereof and almost two-thirds of the valuation was exchanged into ETH (Ether). The father was left alone by the son, considering that he would wake up naturally. After two days, following a call made by an apprehensive friend, the father was found by the police as lying unresponsive in the bedroom, nevertheless alive. He got hospitalized and spent up to four days to recover from organ dysfunction as well as dehydration.
The son confessed his crime to the mother thereof, Christine Prefontaine, who then informed police when a criminal case was filed by the father due to which a jail time of up 125 days was served by the son.
