Bitfinex Introduces New Rules For The Withdrawal Of Fiat Funds
Users of Bitfinex bitcoin exchange, which often withdraw Fiat funds from the platform in large volumes, will be charged a commission of 3%.
The statement of the exchange clarifies that the new rules will affect those who withdraw funds more than twice a month. Also, this Commission will be charged to users who during the thirty-day period withdraw an amount in total exceeding $1 million.
“The new changes in the rules will not affect the usual conclusions, which currently make up 99% of the total number of relevant user requests,” the company believes.
Also, representatives of Bitfinex noted that during October 2018, users of the trading platform withdrew Fiat funds worth more than $1 billion. This fact, according to them, makes this exchange “the main Fiat gateway of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.”
In addition, the company stressed that the banking service Bitfinex “remains stable.” Also, representatives of the exchange recognized that the platform has been subjected to “coordinated attacks by influential forces trying to harm the global cryptocurrency markets” for a long time.
In addition Bitfinex issued a statement regarding the November 15 hard forks of Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
It says the marketplace will “fully support” the BCH Protocol update. Also, representatives of Bitfinex note that it is difficult to say what kind of chain — Bitcoin ABC or Bitcoin SV — will get a larger hashrate.
Thus, Bitfinex traditionally adheres to neutrality and, in all probability, will add to the listing and charge users with coins formed after the probable separation of the chain. A further statement on this issue will be issued on 16 November.
