BITREFILL LAUNCHED THE OPENING OF THE CHANNEL IN LIGHTNING NETWORK
Payment platform Bitrefill launched Thor — a service allowing users to access channels in the Lightning Network (LN).
Thor will be able to join the Bitrefill node in the Lightning Network, so users will be able to receive funds regardless of whether there are bitcoins in their LN wallet or not.
“This service will give customers an empty LN wallet opened to them with a Bitrefill node in the Lightning network. Now everyone can pay, or give an open channel to receive payments in the Lightning Network,” the company said in a statement.
The chain Lightning is a Bitcoin add-on, which has the possibility of almost instant BTC. However, to receive transfers, LN must first open the channel and send the amount equivalent to the desired volume of incoming transactions to the counterparty.
With Thor, users essentially get the opportunity to purchase an empty channel to receive funds for themselves or their friends and business partners. Bitrefill guarantees the performance of the channel within 30 days.
