Keplerk, which is a financial services startup from France, has announced about relaunching its Bitcoin coupon program which will enable users to buy Bitcoin in over 5200 tobacco stores in France starting from October 10, 2019.
Initially, the program was launched in January of the current year; however, after less than 2 months it was suspended. Keplerk states that the customers can purchase Bitcoin from tobacco stores in coupons of 50, 100 or 250 euros.
It is also reported that all the Bitcoin payments will be made through Bimedia (partner of Keplerk), which will supply payment terminals.
In spite the fact that in the initial phase Keplerk was considering the possibility to enable customers to purchase other crypto coins as well, after a deep examination, it made a decision to sell only Bitcoin. The company also managed to cut the processing fee for 1.5% (from 7% to 5.5%).
At the present time, Bitcoin and other crypto coins have become quite interesting investment option in France. The country is 1 of the international leaders in crypto adoption across various spheres, including shopping. More than 25000 points-of-sale of 30 retailers in the country accept payments with Bitcoin or other crypto coins. In the list of retailers is also the sportswear giant Decathlon.
