CRYPTO EXCHANGE GEMINI LAUNCHES NEW APPLICATION AND PLANS TO EXPAND TO ASIA

The Winklevoss brothers attract individual investors with the help of the new Gemini crypto-exchange application, the development of which will become a priority in 2019.

Tyler Winklevoss noted that they are not accustomed to a skeptical attitude:

“We are comfortable in winter… it gives us time to build up our inner strength, improve and catch our breath.”

The co-founders of the crypto-exchange noted that the development of a new application with the help of which individual investors will be able to buy cryptocurrencies will be one of the priorities of the coming year.

Many experts of the cryptocurrency market note the high potential of institutional investors, and Gemini is developing in this direction, through a trust company that is regulated by the new York NYDFS, nevertheless, the focus of the crypto-exchange remains on individual investors, said Winklevoss:

“Many of our decisions could lead to the idea that we focus on institutional investment. The reality is that we have a very wide audience of users. And the story with individual investors is only at the beginning of its development.”

Also in 2019, the Winklevoss brothers plan to expand to Asia, where they will compete with the largest crypto-exchanges like Bitfinex, Digifinex and Huobi. Of course, the Winklevoss brothers admit that the year was not easy: bitcoin ETFs are still not approved, and the trading volumes of bitcoin futures could be higher – but this does not prevent them from maintaining optimism.
