Cryptocurrency Payments Now Available By Taiwanese Airline
Probably, the most cryptocurrency receptive part of the world where, in addition to a strong bitcoin trading mania, you can already find many regular companies accepting crypto payments is known to be Asia. The consumers for the region now have another way to spend their bitcoin, which is buying flight tickets for travel around the region.
The company behind the Far Eastern Air Transport brand called FAT Taiwan Inc., has announced about accepting crypto payments for tickets, making it the first Taiwanese airline to allow its clients to fly for cryptocurrency. The airline says it will fully accept cryptocurrency for the payment of tickets and all relevant services, with the aim of becoming a pioneer of cryptocurrency adoption in the aviation industry.
The president of the airline Zhang Gangwei pointed:
“The widespread use of cryptocurrency in various scenarios will usher in a new future for the airline business, lodging industry, OTA (Online Travel Agent) and the entire tourism sector. FAT is about to be the number one in the industry to embrace cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.”
