Cryptocurrency Trading Areas In Russia
The Russian deputy Finance Minister Alexey Moiseev announced that country is watching for creating cryptocurrency auctions in individual territories. As he mentioned, the ministry is considering Kaliningrad as well as Russky and October Island for arranged digital currency auctions.
The country’s Central Bank doesn’t support the initiative, as Moiseev mentioned. It seems, that regulator still opposes the possibility of cryptocurrency transactions in the country.
There are still several thousand active exchangers, according to Moiseev, who offer crypto-trading services outside the country. Also the deputy minister pointed, that they have no problem with the action.
In January the Ministry of Finance proposed the bill “On digital financial assets”, which allows citizens to buy and sell cryptocurrencies and tokens using trading platforms, brokers, dealers, who support the necessary licenses. The bill suggests to exchange digital coins for rubles, foreign currency or other property. The bill also sets limits for unqualified investors due to investing in ICOs with amount of 50,000 Rubles.
