DATALIGHT: US TRADERS ARE MOST ACTIVE ON MAJOR CRYPTOCURRENCY EXCHANGES

According to the analytical company DataLight, American traders are the most active on the main cryptocurrency exchanges.

Up to 60 percent of traders on the Stock exchange and Coinbase wallet are US citizens, while on Binance, Bittrex and Poloniex, Americans make up to 24, 27 and 28 percent of the total users respectively. Least of all American traders are on the Hong Kong cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex – 10%.

In addition, a relatively high percentage of users from Russia is observed on the exchanges Binance, Bitfinex and Poloniex. According to the company’s estimates, Russians make up to 6% of users on Binance and Bitfinex, as well as 10% on Poloniex.

Recently, a new study by Diar showed that trading volumes on cryptocurrency exchanges fell to record lows. One of the world’s largest exchanges, Binance recorded the worst period in January 2019 – compared to the results of December last year, the volume of Bitcoin trading in the pair with the US dollar fell by 40%. Recently, Diar analysts also reported that the volume of trading on decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges (DEX) has reached a record low in dollar equivalent. At the same time, as a result of falling rates, in the calculation of the crypto volume on the contrary has increased.
