Docusign (DOCU) Integrated With Ethereum Blockchain
DocuSign (DOCU), a San Francisco–based company that provides electronic signature technology and digital transaction management services, has integrated with the Ethereum blockchain (ETH).
According to a recent announcement, more than 400,000 paying Docusign customers, including a number of large law firms and businesses, can now choose to confirm a signed agreement that will be automatically recorded in the Ethereum blockchain.
This option is an alternative to DocuSign’s native signature verification system and is ideal for customers who want to have proof of their agreements in a neutral environment.
” For customers who sign up, DocuSign will compute a one-way cryptographic hash imprint for each completed transaction and write the value to the Ethereum blockchain — the most popular blockchain for smart contracts, in our opinion, ” said Ron Hirson, chief product officer of DocuSign.
Currently, ETH has a market capitalization of $ 20.6 billion. The US, which makes it the second largest cryptocurrency in the AltDex 100 (ALT100) index.
