Ethereum Could Beat Bitcoin
Ethereum just surged to an all-time high, while bitcoin briefly recovered from a recent slump – and a battle between the cryptocurrencies looks set to heat up this month.
Currently, the digital currency ethereum is the third after Bitcoin and Ripple. Yesterday it tested an all-time high at $1,075 U.S.
Experts believe the secure technology behind ethereum mean that this latest crytocurrency will win more financial support than its rivals.
Yesterday Bitcoin climbed above $17,000, but it is still 13% below December’s record high.
In a single day ethereum took 9,6 % high, with more than a 30 % raise in January.
At this moment, Ether has a market capitalization of $96 billion.
Unlike bitcoin, ethereum allows developers to build applications on its network.
The major amount of trading games and ICOs are based on ethereum.
Ethereum’s particular blockchain technology means that the currency is more naturally resilient to cyberattacks.
The digital currency’s co-founder, Vitalik Buterin on Tuesday announced about launching two new programs to improve the ability of ethereum network for processing more transactions.
Mr Buterin confirmed that grant amounts can now go up to $1million.
