The Ex-Lead Singer Of Genesis Peter Gabriel Has Invested IN Blockchain Startup
Fabulous lead singer of Genesis Peter Gabriel has invested in UK-based blockchain startup Provenance. However the singer has not yet disclosed the full amount of his investment.
Pursuant to the press release Gabriel invested in Provenance along with Working Capital Fund, Digital Currency Group, Merian Ventures and Plug and Play. The venture round appears months after the startup raised $800,000 in the stage of early investment in 2017 according to the latest reports.
This blockchain is designed to make transparency in food transportation. The startup has been looking through this problem since the firm was first established in 2013. The firm intends to apply its financing to set up a blockchain-powered platform which may have more than 1,000 customers by 2025.
Beside the Provenance, the Genesis lead vocalist has made an investment in a number of other startups such as Ctrlio, a startup which supplies websites in creating customized promotions. Nevertheless, this seems to be his first investment in a blockchain-specializing company.
Within some period of time Provenance published the list of new members to its board of directors. Alexsis de Raadt-St. James, founder and managing partner of Merian Ventures will be the chairperson of the Board of Directors and Working Capital partner Chemain Sanan will become the director of the company.
