Lupus Foundation of America Accepts Cryptocurrency Donations
American voluntary organization “Lupus Foundation of America” said that it began to accept donations in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Litecoin (LTC).
The Fund will accept cryptocurrency donations online, as well as at fundraising events such as the upcoming “2018 Night of Hope Gala“, which will take place on November 10th at Mason Fine Art and Events in Atlanta, Georgia, to raise funds to provide programs and services to 55,000 Georgians living with lupus disease.
This step will allow supporters of the “Lupus Foundation of America” who own cryptocurrency portfolios to make donations.
“Lupus Foundation of America” aims to expand the acceptance of cryptocurrencies and explore ways to use blockchain, the underlying technology of most cryptocurrencies. The Fund will work with blockchain consulting firm The Giving Block in this direction.
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease, which can damage any part of the body such as skin, joints, blood cells or other organs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. In the United States, more than 16,000 new cases are reported each year.
