SCAMMERS ATTEMPT TO HOLD ANOTHER ROUND OF FINANCING FROM BAKKT

The sensational news that the long-awaited launch of the BAKKT crypto-platform will take place on March 12, begins to break into the information space. Its origins lie on the portal of bakktplatform.io, which is obviously another example of an attempt to wean money from cryptocurrency investors.

While the official domain bakkt.com registered in July 2018, well known, bakktplatform.io was only registered a week ago and would hardly have been able to participate in the launch of the platform, which was expected to take place at the end of the last year.

The creators of the fake site decided not to waste energy on the preparation of the content and copied the information from the original, diversifying it with their own mistakes. Potential visitors to their page are attracted not only by the announcement of the new launch date of Bakkt, but also by the announcement of the second round of fundraising, in which, as they claim, this time anyone will be able to participate. “Investments and profits” pseudo-Bakkt promises to pay to the user specified bitcoin-address, and the site does not even check the format of these addresses, both for sending bitcoins and for entering email.

At the specified address by the scammers at the time of publication has not received a single transaction.
