Software Giant SAP Launches SAP Cloud Platform Blockchain

SAP is considering to combine its services with blockchain technology. The establishment believes that the SAP Cloud Platform Blockchain, in other respects known as its blockchain-as-a-service offering, will assist Hyperledger Fabric and MultiChain. Already operating customers of the project will now be able to use the blockchain to create application programs and networks.

The company indicated that its new suggestion will exploit the SAP HANA Data Management Suite, and that it will, in principle, be developed and constructed on SAP HANA. As per the news department of the company, SAP has been cooperating with more than 60 enterprises across industries to generate blockchain use cases in different industries like manufacturing, transportation and pharmaceuticals.

SAP has also mentioned that it had begun a universal blockchain consortium with seven founding members-representatives, to accelerate the approval of the blockchain innovation technology. Apart from SAP, the founding members involve Intel, HP, and A 3 by Airbus SERVICE.

The media is stating that cases of utilization such as manufacturing or transportation aren’t ‘fully baked’ and that a lot of analysts and specialist will say to you that the blockchain is hyped. Nevertheless, SAP is sure that this technology can deeply and seriously alter business processes and IT.
