The Application Bar For Messages Line Launches Its Own Cryptocurrency
Line, a Japanese messaging application that is quite popular in Asia, announced the launch of its own cryptocurrency called Link. The idea is to attract more users and keep them. The token of the link will be given to the users for free after they have performed a number of certain actions. This allows the users of Line to receive their tokens, without the initial coin offering and without requesting payment for tokens.
Tokens can be used for purchases in applications such as webtoon and stickers. Other services offered by the Line platform will also be available in exchange for these tokens.
Line releases 800 million Link tokens as part of the reward system, and they will be used to encourage users to spend more time in the application, performing tasks that result in additional tokens.
It’s interesting that Line has not yet received approval in its native country of Japan for its digital currency, as well as for exchanging cryptocurrencies.
