Vitalik Buterin is not only the co-founder of Ethereum but has been ever since part of the development team to ensure that the efficiency and security metrics of Ethereum’s blockchain remain intact. He is deeply invested in making Ethereum the most tenacious of all cryptocurrencies out there.
Recently Vitalik launched an AMA session for his 268 Twitter followers, and there was a Q/A session held for Ethereum, and many important celebrities and influencers such as Elon Musk and Ava Labs CEO did take part in it. During this bulging session, a question about Dogecoin was also received, asking Vitalik if he had any input to give for Dogecoin and what the future should be for the meme-based cryptocurrency.
His opinion was rather startling and unexpected as he said that Dogecoin should switch to PoS soon. The question posed for Dogecoin was asked by Three Arrows Capital, Zhu Su. There was a slight hint of partnership within the question, such as if Vitalik would like a collaboration between Dogecoin and Ethereum. Vitalik shared his opinion that Dogecoin should look into switching to the PoS (proof of stake) algorithm and should update its blockchain for the task too. He also advised that after switching to PoS, Dogecoin can put its tokens into a DAO (decentralized autonomous organization), which will be able to fund the public goods at a global level.
Buterin may Help Dogecoin’s Development Team
Furthermore, Buterin wished if DOGE could shift to PoS using the Ethereum code. This definitely hints towards a possible merger that might take place between Ethereum and Dogecoin in the future. There has been an addition to Dogecoin’s advisory team as Neuralink chief executive has recently joined the team and is already working to bring tons of improvements to Dogecoin. Buterin’s father, Dmitry Buterin, took to Twitter to share his opinion on the matter, and according to him, if Vitalik is on the advisory team for Dogecoin, then it would most definitely help Dogecoin to improve over time. The NFT craze is also real for Dogecoin as many projects are still in the works and are awaiting final confirmation from the development team, so if Buterin wishes to go with Dogecoin at this point, then it would turn out remarkably not only for Dogecoin but also for Ethereum as well.
